SugarSync may appear non-responsive during Lenovo Welcome
Symptom

Lenovo Welcome is the application that runs one time during the first boot of a new Lenovo computer to help users configure the system and become aware of certain features. One of the items to configure during Lenovo Welcome is Lenovo Cloud Storage by SugarSync. During the SugarSync configuration, sometimes the activation window appears behind the Lenovo Welcome window and the computer appears to be non-responsive.

 

Affected configurations


The above symptom is associated with, but not limited to, the following systems:

  • All ThinkPads built and shipped during 2012

Applies to:

  • Microsoft Windows 7

 

Solution

The user may be able to click the activation window that shows a small edge behind the Lenovo Welcome window to bring it to the front and complete the SugarSync configuration. Otherwise, the user should press Alt+Tab to switch between windows and bring the SugarSync window to the front.
