Camera gets activated automatically even when instant messaging applications are not in use.

Solution 1

1. Click on Windows Start
   
2. Go to Control Panel and click on “Device Manager”
3. A popup screen as shown below will appear:
   
   

4. Look for “Imaging device”. Expand the option.

5. Right click on “Integrated Camera” and choose disable.

6. A popup question “Disabling this device will cause it to stop functioning. Do you really want to disable it?”. Click on “Yes”.

Solution 2

1. Click on Windows Start

2. Go to Control Panel and click on  “Lenovo – Camera – enhanced security”

3. A pop up screen will appear as shown below. Ensure that the option of “Automatically lock my computer when the camera detects that no one is using the computer.” is unchecked.
   
   

4. Click on close and restart the laptop.
