Symptom

The MITSUMI USB floppy disk drive cannot be detected if it is plugged into the USB port before power on.  Even when the system is restarted, the failure still occurs until replugged in the USB floppy disk drive.

Affected configurations

The above symptom is associated with, but not limited to, the following systems:

  • ThinkCentre M81, M82, M91, M91p, M92 and M92p

  • All Operating System

None

Workaround

Plug in the USB floppy disk drive after system power on or replug the floppy disk drive.
