Intel video XP driver BSOD once security patch is installed - ThinkCentre M58 and M58p
Symptom

BSOD occur because of a kernel overflow in Intel video XP driver, the problem becomes more apparent with Microsoft security patch KB2393802.

Affected configurations

The above symptom is associated with, but not limited to, the following systems:

  • ThinkCentre M58, M58p

Applies to

  • All Operating Systems

Additional Information:

Certain systems that have Intel integrated graphics or AMD ATI HD graphics cards may crash after this security update is installed. Microsoft has investigated this issue in partnership with both Intel and AMD. We have identified an incompatibility between this update and certain older versions of the Intel and AMD graphics drivers. Both Intel and AMD have posted updated drivers that resolve this issue.
