Note: - If this package has been installed, updating (overwrite-installing) this package will fix problems, add new functions, or expand functions as noted below. - This driver is language independent and can be used with any language system.

Installation instructions
Notes:
If your computer runs satisfactorily now, it may not be necessary to update the software. To determine if you should update the software, refer to the Version Information section.
This software does not support overwrite-installation. Before installing a new version, uninstall the older one, then "shutdown (power off)" the computer, and power on the computer, again.
Manual Install
Start Windows and logon with administrative privileges.
Extract this package to the hard drive. The default location is C:\DRIVERS\TPWUSB
For Windows Vista, click Start, select All Programs, select Accessories, then click Run... For Windows XP, click Start, then click Run...
Specify setup.exe with the full path name of the location where you extracted the package and click OK. EXAMPLE: C:\DRIVERS\TPWUSB\setup.exe
Follow the instructions on the screen.
If a Digital Signature warning message appears, click Continue Anyway button (Windows XP) or Install this driver software anyway (Windows Vista).
Restart the computer.
Unattended Install
This is for system administrators' use only.
Start Windows and logon with administrative privileges.
Double-click the driver package to extract it to your hard drive. The default location is C:\DRIVERS\TPWUSB.
Click Start, click All Programs, click Accessories, then click Run...
Specify SETUP.EXE -s with the full path name where you extracted the package in the step 2, and click OK. Example: C:\DRIVERS\TPWUSB\SETUP -s
Uninstall instructions
Note:
When you uninstall the ThinkPad Wireless USB Software, if you want to delete the device information you associated with your ThinkPad, remove the device information before uninstallation with the procedure below.
Double click Task Tray icon to open Wireless USB Manager.
Right click the icon of the device you are going to remove, then select Remove.
Repeat above instructions for all the devices you want to remove.
Manual Uninstall
[Windows Vista]
Click Start, then click Control Panel.
Click Programs / Uninstall a program.
Select Realtek WHCI.
Click Uninstall button.
Click Yes button on the confirmation pop-up.
User Account Control pop-up may open. When it opens, click Allow to continue uninstallation.
[Windows XP]
Click Start, then click Control Panel.
Click Add or Remove Programs.
Select Realtek WHCI.
Click Remove button.
Click Yes button on the confirmation pop-up.
Determining which version is installed
[Windows Vista]
Click Start, then click Control Panel.
Click System and Maintenance.
Click System.
Click Device Manager.
Double-click UWBPCI
Double-click Realtek WHCI.
Click the Driver tab.
Check the Driver Version displayed.
[Windows XP]
Click Start, click Control Panel, and then click Performance and Maintenance.
Click System, click the Hardware tab, then click Device Manager.
