Symptom

After completing a "quick format" on a DVD-RW disc, you may find the total capacity of DVD-RW reduced.

Affected configurations

Any of the following systems running Microsoft Windows Vista:

ThinkCentre (type All)
Lenovo 3000 (type All)

Solution

This is a limitation of Microsoft Windows Vista operating system. It is recommended that you use "complete format", instead of a "quick format". No hardware should be replaced for this issue.
