Screen is partially corrupt on the ThinkVantage Toolbox - ThinkCentre M90z
Symptom

The screen on the ThinkVantage Toolbox is partially corrupt as shown in green in the picture below.

Affected configurations

The above symptom is associated with, but not limited to, the following systems:

  • ThinkCentre M90z

Applies To:

  • Microsoft Windows XP Professional
  • Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition

The system is configured with:

The symptom may occur with the following two conditions together:

  • ThinkVantage Toolbox version is 6.0.5717.35
  • Intel Onboard VGA driver version is 6.14.10.5237
Solution

Do not replace any hardware for this issue.

The user can update the Intel Onboard VGA driver to 6.14.10.5361, or later, for Windows XP.
