System may not display video intermittently when resuming from standby S3
Symptom

No video upon resuming from S3 standby with the Nvidia Geforce 9500GT graphics adapter connected via DisplayPort?

Affected Systems

The above symptom may occur on the following systems, but not limited to the following:

  • All ThinkCentre A58
  • All ThinkCentre A62
  • All ThinkCentre M58
  • All ThinkCentre M58e
  • All ThinkCentre M58p

This problem applies to the following operating systems.

  • Windows Vista
  • Windows XP Professional

The system is configured with the following video adapter:

  • NVIDIA GeForce 9500GT 512MB, FRU 46R1524, Part number 41U5784
Fix

Update the NVIDIA GeForce 9500GT video driver to version 179.90.

Do not replace any hardware for this issue.
