General information
The ThinkPad Dock is the latest docking solution supporting the new ThinkPad X20, A, and T Series systems. Customers looking for the convenience of easy cable management along with a desktop system will appreciate the new ThinkPad Dock. The ThinkPad Dock supports one-step, pass-through connection to RJ11, RJ45, serial, parallel, keyboard, mouse, FDD, monitor, two USB, DVI, line-in and line-out. The RJ11 and RJ45 pass-through feature allows network and telephone connection with new Mini-PCI card architecture on the ThinkPad notebook.

There is an Ultrabay 2000 in the ThinkPad Dock for additional device expansion. It supports Ultrabay 2000 devices such as a CD-ROM, a second hard disk drive and adapter or DVD-ROM. Two additional PCMCIA Card slots and one half-size PCI slot (desktop cards) round out the configuration alternatives supported by the ThinkPad Dock.

Each ThinkPad Dock provides a range of security alternatives. The ThinkPad notebook can be secured to the Dock with a key lock and an optional cable lock. The PCMCIA and Ultrabay 2000 devices can be secured with hidden device levers. The PCI card can be secured with a cable lock.

Convenience buttons on the ThinkPad Dock provide an on/off system switch and one-touch network disconnect button. All this function, convenience, and flexibility comes in a sleek docking design that complements the new ThinkPad notebook.
