This package updates the basic input/output system (BIOS) on ThinkCentre M58 and M58p systems.
BIOS is programming that controls low-level hardware operations, including interactions with diskette drives, hard drives, and the keyboard. The BIOS is stored on a chip. Your computer uses flash BIOS, which can be updated through a program on a flash diskette so that you do not have to replace the BIOS chip to update the BIOS.
Note: If the downlevel or the current BIOS version is lower than 5CKT28A, DO NOT use 5cjy77usa.exe (flash from operating system version) directly to update the BIOS. Instead, 5cj977a.iso or 5cjt77a.zip should be used to update the BIOS.
Note: This guide explains how to modify BIOS settings and boot order using Windows Management Instrumentation (WMI) through the Lenovo client management interface for systems having the BIOS version as 5CKT51A or higher.
In most instances, you will need only one of the listed exe or iso files.
