The Wireless LAN driver enables or updates the Wireless LAN function of the following ThinkPad computers with the following adapters: - Cisco Wireless LAN Mini PCI Card.
(*1) Only the following T30 models support the Windows Me: 2366/2367-x1x, x2x, x3x, x4x, x5x, A6x and A7x except for M1x, M2x, M3x, M4x and M5x.
(*2) Windows Me is not supported.
(*3) Supports Windows 2000/XP only.
To keep software compatibility, if you use IBM Access Connections, please update it to the version 3.30 or later.

Caution: This Driver will automatically update your card's Firmware upon installation and during reboot of the system. Do not power off the system at any time during Driver installation and reboot to prevent the card's Firmware from corruption.
Windows 98/Me
Start Windows 98/Me.
Extract this package onto the hard disk drive.
Click Start, select Settings, and then click Control Panel.
Double-click the System icon. For Windows Me, it may be necessary to click View all Control Panel options.
Click the DeviceManager tab.
Click the + mark to expand Network adapters or Other devices.
Right-click Cisco Systems PCI Wireless LAN Adapter in the Network adapters section or PCI Network Controller in the Other devices section and then click Properties.
Click the Driver tab.
Click the UpdateDriver button.
For Windows Me only, select Specify the location of the driver (Advanced).
Click the Next button in UpdateDeviceDriverWizard dialog box.
For windows 98 only, select Search for a better driver than the one your device is using now.(Recommended) and then click Next.
Select Specify a location: only.
Specify the path with the full path name where you extracted the package in step 2 in the Specify a location: box and then click Next.
For Windows 98 only, click Next.
Click Next. The driver installation starts.
Click Finish when the installation completes.
Click Yes when prompted to restart the computer.
Windows 2000
Start Windows 2000.
Extract this package onto the hard disk drive.
Click Start, select Settings, and then click Control Panel.
Double-click the System icon.
Click the Hardware tab.
Click the Device Manager button.
Click the + mark to expand Network adapters or Other devices.
Right-click Cisco Systems PCI Wireless LAN Adapter in the Network adapters section or Network Controller in the Other devices section and then click Properties.
Click the Driver tab.
Click the UpdateDriver button.
Click Next in the UpgradeDevice Driver Wizard dialog box.
Select Search for a suitable driver for my device (recommended) and then click Next.
Select Specify a location only in Optional search locations:.
Click Next button.
Specify the path to sub-directory \PCC-MPI\9x-Me-2K with the full path name where you extracted the package in the step 2 in Copy manufacturer's files from:.
Click OK.
Click Next. After this step, the installer may display a "Digital Signature not found" message. Click Yes if this message appears. The driver installation starts.
Click the Finish button when the installation completes.
Restart the computer.
Windows XP
Start Windows XP.
Extract this package onto the hard disk drive.
Click Start and then click Control Panel.
Click the Performance and Maintenance icon and then click the System icon.
Click the Hardware tab.
Click the Device Manager button.
Click the + mark to expand Network adapters or Other devices.
Right-click Cisco Systems PCI Wireless LAN Adapter in the Network adapters section or Network Controller in the Other devices section and then click Properties.
Click the Driver tab.
Click the Update Driver button.
Select Install from a list or specific location (Advanced) and then click Next.
Select Search for the best driver in these locations.
Select Include this location in the search only.
Specify the path to sub-directory \PCC-MPI\XP with the full path name where you extracted the package in the step 2 in Copy manufacturer's files from: and then click Next. The Driver installation starts. After this step, the installer may display a "Digital Signature not found" message. Click Continue Anyway if this message appears.
Click the Finish button when the installation completes.
Restart the computer.
Aironet Client Utility
Start Windows.
Click Start and then click Run.
In the Run dialog window, specify IWSETUP.EXE with the full path name where you extracted the package in the step 2, and click OK.
Follow the instructions on the screen.
Restart the system.
Firmware
Open Aironet Client Utility.
Click the LoadFirmware icon.
Specify the file name of the Firmware with the full path name where you extracted the package in the step 2, and click OK.
To check the version of the Utility Software that is installed on your system
Open the Aironet Client Utility.
Click Help, then click About Aironet Client Utility.
To check the version of the Firmware /device driver that is installed on your system:
Open the Aironet Client Utility.
Click the Status icon.
Check the Firmware Version/NDIS Driver Version.
Tip for LEAP Authentication
To utilize LEAP authentication, it is required to install Cisco Aironet Client Utility(ACU) with the LEAP authentication feature selected. Run the SETUP.EXE to install ACU and choose the LEAP option at the Select Options menu of the installer.
