The downloading stops when it completes 99 percent with IE8

STATEMENT DESCRIPTION

When using IE8 which is preloaded in Windows7 to download files, it stops every time when it completes 99% and needs a long time to finish or even doesn't work sometimes.

AFFECTED CONFIGURATIONS:

The above symptom may occur under the following operating system:

Microsoft Windows 7

SOLUTION:

The reasons below may lead to this symptom:

1. The settings of IE8 browser could lead to this symptom. Open Internet Options, in the "Advanced" tab, uncheck the "Check for signatures on downloaded programs".

2. The temporary internet files of IE8 are full or insufficient read-in authorities of the storage location of the downloaded files. Try to clear the temporary files or store the downloaded files in other locations.

3. The IE downloaded files will be stored in temporary files first, and then be moved to the target location when the downloading completes. The monitoring function of Antivirus may work during the process of movement. If the downloaded file is very large, it will take the Antivirus a long time checking. The downloading work won't complete unless the checking is finished. This may be a reason that leads to the symptom.
