Solution to OS Re-installation Failure

STATEMENT DESCRIPTION:

This article introduces solutions to OS Re-installation Failure.

SOLUTION:

During operating system reinstallation, if something is wrong while restarting the computer, try the following operations to get around it:

Step One

1. Turn on your machine.

2. While the BIOS POST screen appears during the system booting, press F2 button immediately to enter the Lenovo Rescue System.

3. Select OneKey Recovery. The system will restart and go to OneKey Recovery.

Or other steps below can also help you to enter OneKey Recovery directly, which are:

1. Turn on your machine.

2. While the BIOS POST screen appears during the system booting, press Shift+B button immediately to go to OneKey Recovery directly.

Note:

If pressing F2 button or pressing Shift+B button has no response after doing above step 2, please restart your machine and try 5 times.

Step Two

When you enter OneKey Recovery, you will see the screen like below, please run Recover Factory Backup (or Recover Original Backup), after finishing recover, the problem will be solved.

Note:

If a user changes the size of partition C during system reinstallation and then executes Recover Factory Backup (or Recover Original Backup), a prompt indicating recovery failure will pop up. Please ignore it and restart the machine to install the operating system. After the upper steps, the system startup problem can usually be solved.
