Symptom

When using the Restore Operating System and Applications options from a bootable USB drive the only location available to choose a backup from is the Local Hard Drive. Device options such as Second hard drive, USB hard drive or CD/DVD are not supported in this scenario..

Affected configuration

Any ThinkCentre or ThinkPad system running Microsoft Windows 2000 or XP using Rescue and Recovery version 2.x and booting from a USB Hard drive may be affected by this symptom.
