DVD Video Burning fails from Quick-Drop menu - ThinkPad SL300, SL400, SL500, R400, R500, T400, T500, X200, ThinkCentre A57, M57, M57e, M58, M58e, A58, A58e, ThinkStation S10 , D10, S20, D20
Symptom

Error "Burn fail from ImfBurnService" pop up, or error 'Project is Empty' appears

Affected configurations

The following ThinkPad systems configured with Blu-ray drive and DVD Movie Factory 5.5.0065 running Microsoft Windows Vista, Microsoft Windows XP Professional and XP Home Edition maybe affected by this symptom:

  • ThinkPad SL300, SL400 , SL500, R400, R500, T400, T500, X200
  • ThinkCentre A57, M57, M57e, M58, M58e, A58, A58e
  • ThinkStation S10, D10
  • ThinkStation S20: 4105, 4157, Special Bid 4217 02/10/09
  • ThinkStation D20: 4155, 4158, Special Bid 4218 03/10/09

Additional information: (when applicable)

The problem appears in response to the following sequence of operations:

  1. Open Quick-Drop from the Start Menu
  2. Choose DVD Video mode
  3. Drag and drop a image folder to the main interface and click Burn to start burning,
  4. Error "Burn fail from ImfBurnService" pop up at about 70%, or error 'Project is Empty' appears
Solution

This error will be fixed in a future vesrion of DVD Movie Factory

Workaround:

Burn Video DVD using standard UI instead of Quick-Drop UI of DVD Movie Factory
