Where is the MTM and Serial Information on the new Thinkpad Tablet?
Current Thinkpad laptops have the machine type and model information located on the base of the unit. On the Think Tablet Android product, this location has changed. The Think Tablet has a door on the side. The door is a cover for a slot for an SD memory card and the sim card. The door is on the same side as the tablet buttons, below the word "Lenovo".
On the Inside of the door is the barcode that contains the MTM and Serial Information.

How else Can I find the MTM Serial Number Information?
The Machine Type model and Serial number information can also be found in the Android Operating system in the Settings Section.
Tap on "Apps" in the top right hand corner of the Home screen.
Choose the "Settings" icon.
Click on "About Tablet", and you will see the information.
This is the second place that the MTM and Serial can be found.
7 character serial number Enter your machine type and model (product number) in the Enter a product number field on the Support home page. Then, you will be taken to a page with information specifically for your product.
Warranty lookup If you want to find out the warranty status for your system, you can enter your machine type and serial number on the Warranty page to find it.
Special navigation links Some documents contain special links that will let you navigate directly to documents for your system. When you click these links, a dialog box will appear with fields for machine type and model. These fields will be prepopulated with the information from your system. You can change them to find information for another system.
