Mic mute may fail - ThinkCentre M90z


When completing the Lenovo preload and selecting the Mic Mute button on the front panel, the Mic may continue to record.

Affected configurations

Any of the following systems:

  • ThinkCentre M90z (all models)

Applies to:

  • Microsoft Windows XP Professional

Additional Information:

Press the "Mic mute" on the front panel, and we can see picture 2 onscreen:

Launch "Sound Record" and start recording, the green line oscillates to visually represent the sound and it implies the "Mic mute" does not take effect.

The above symptom will be corrected after the first system reboot.
