Ctrl-Alt-Del function with Windows On-Screen Keyboard and Tablet Keyboard.
The above symptom is associated with, but not limited to, the following systems:
Microsoft Windows 7
The system is configured with touch screen.
None. Do not replace any hardware for this issue.
Users operating touch screen systems with no keyboard may have limited use of Ctrl-Alt-Del.
Windows Secure Login
In order to issue Ctrl-Alt-Del, the user will need to access the On-screen keyboard available via the Ease of Access tools. Press Windows Key + U to open the Ease of Access menu. Choose to Type without the keyboard (On-screen keyboard) and press OK. The on-screen keyboard will appear and the user should press Ctrl then Alt and then finally the Del key.
Ctrl-Alt-Del cannot be issued from the On-screen keyboard or Tablet keyboard in the Windows operating system. This limitation is by Microsoft design.
