This firmware update fixes a problem in which the HLDS BH20N blu-ray writer may disappear from Windows Explorer when the ThinkCentre M58/M58P resumes from sleep mode. It also adds Windows 7 support and write strategies for additional blu-ray and DVD disc brands.
The above symptom may occur on the following systems:
- ThinkStation S20, D20
- ThinkCentre M58, M58p
- Lenovo 3000
- Microsoft Windows 7
- Microsoft Windows Vista
- Microsoft Windows XP Professional
- Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition
The system is configured with the following optical drive:
HLDS Blu-ray writer model BH20N, FRU#53Y7643, P/N 45K0420
This package applies to systems configured with the HLDS BH20N SATA Blu-ray writer.
We recommend you close all applications and save your data prior to upgrading the firmware. Do not power-down or restart your system while the firmware upgrade is in progress.
Click here to download the BH20N_103.exe file. Go to the folder where you saved it, and click on the BH20N_103 icon. Click on the "UPDATE" button. When the firmware update is complete, you will be prompted to either "REBOOT" or "EXIT". If you want to reboot later, click "EXIT". If you have saved your data and are ready to reboot now, click "REBOOT". The firmware update will take effect after your computer reboots.
